Are you interested in contributing to the Downtown Oshawa News (DON) blog? The DON is always looking for photographers, videographers and bloggers to report on the news that matters to those who live, work, study and/or have fun in downtown Oshawa. The DON is all about bringing to light issues not always covered by the mainstream media and, as well, providing a voice to those who care about this area. The DON is open to any type of story as long as it pertains to Oshawa’s downtown.
Here are the guidelines for sending a query to the DON:
Before sending your pitch, please make sure that the idea hasn’t already been covered in the DON.
Send a detailed pitch explaining exactly what your idea is and whom you will be interviewing. Let us know if the idea you are pitching is going to be a video story, photo essay, audio story or article with photos.

Please note: We accept only unpublished work. We do not offer financial compensation for articles, videos or photography, however, we can provide contributors with a bio sentence and a links to their websites or social media profiles.
