The Patty Shack and the Oshawa Generals teamed up to serve burgers for Feed the Need Durham on September 21.
Dan Altshuller, Scott Laughton and Sebastian Uvria started their shift at 6 p.m. serving up burgers from behind the counter and signing autographs for customers. Part of the profits from the night will go to Feed the Need Durham along with donations collected at the counter.

While it rained hard outside and even inside—a water pipe in an apartment upstairs was leaking through the ceiling in front of one entrance—owner Dave Hannah and the Generals kept the piled high burgers coming despite the inclement weather.

“It’s great to be able to work with three of their players, they’re great young kids,” says Hannah. He added they even brought along some Generals’ staff members to indulge in some charitable beef.
He says they’re involved with the charity because it’s local and it’s important to support the community. This is the second Feed the Need fundraiser The Patty Shack has hosted and Hannah says they’re planning another to add to the money made from this event.
