2013 Downtown Oshawa News Photo Contest

The Downtown Oshawa News blog is launching another photo contest and we want to see your best shot. This competition is open to all amateur, student or serious enthusiast photographers (no professionals please). We are looking for images of the downtown area of Oshawa only.Camera grphic
The DON is a hyperlocal blog that covers the news that matters to those who live, work, study or have fun in downtown Oshawa.
To enter:
Photographers of all ages can submit up to six colour or black and white photos. The theme for this year’s contest is change. Approach the theme in any way that makes sense to you.
Upload your photo(s) to the Downtown Oshawa News group on Flickr between October 15, 2013 until November 15, 2013 at midnight. Make sure to include a description of the image in the caption. Please note, you will need a Flickr account in order to submit photos for the contest.
The winning entry will be announced at the end of November and the winning photographer will be awarded a $75 gift card for Henry’s Camera and have their winning image featured on the DON blog.

Judges:
Phil Raby is the administrator of the Downtown Oshawa News and the co-ordinator of Broadcasting for Contemporary Media Program at Durham College. He is also a freelance photographer whose images appear regularly in the Toronto Sun Travel section.
Charlotte Hale is the associate dean of the School of Media, Art & Design at Durham College and an award-winning photographer.  Her portraiture work has been most recently published in the Applied Arts magazine.
Russell Williams is a photography expert and  account manager with Henry’s Professional Services.
