Tough times? Check out this prayer walk-in clinic

Oshawa Community Church has a prayer walk-in clinic that is open to anyone looking for guidance, a word of prayer or just a good person to talk to.
This unique service is open Mondays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Oshawa Community Church, which is located on 71 Simcoe St. South.
This walk-in clinic prayer service is just one of the church’s many unique outreach initiatives.  Such as their original idea of offering a prayer drive-thru. At different times throughout the year, the church’s prayer drive-thru is open at 7 p.m. when the streets aren’t busy with traffic.
“Then people pull up in their car, we give them a coffee and a doughnut and offer them some time to pray with them in their vehicle,” says associate pastor Alessandra Felicio.
And that’s just the beginning of the effort the church puts into connecting the community. They even podcast their Sunday service for those who may not be able to physically be in the church for the morning service.

There’s a prayer wall on their website where people can post or send a prayer. Branched off of the prayer wall is a sharing wall where the congregation and any new members can post items for sale, housing and job postings.
Oshawa Community Church’s modern way of connecting with the community makes finding spiritual guidance easier for people who may not know where to start looking for help during hard times.
So whether you like to pray in church or pray online in a post, people have many options when looking for spiritual guidance. Even if it’s a drive-thru prayer, there’s a method that will work for just about anyone.
