Good feelings are stretching through Memorial Park this summer. The fourth annual Yoga in the Park is on Wednesdays from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m until Aug. 22. Admission is clothing or food donations to charities.
The space, donated by City Hall, is in the park near Simcoe, across the street from the Lakeridge building. Everyone is invited to participate, no matter how much, if any, yoga experience they have. The classes are lead by Sherry Sutherland of Lotus Fitness.

Sutherland sees this event as a way to give back after being a resident at the YWCA. She would also like to put downtown in a positive light, “I’m sick of [Oshawa] being called the shwa,” she said.
Food items will be collected for Simcoe Hall Settlement House on Aug. 1, 8 and 15. Clothing was collected at the first class, where 15 people attended, on July 25 and will be again on Aug. 22. Non-participants are welcome to donate as well. Donations are collected at 12:05.
