As the cold weather begins to breeze through the Oshawa area, there’s nothing like a home cooked meal made with joy to warm the heart.
However, with the busy schedules we are all committed to, there does not seem to be enough time to cook a good meal for yourself and/or your family. But there is all the time in the world when someone else is cooking that perfect meal for you.
Why not sit down relax and enjoy some time with your family at Diamond’s Grill, a 1950/60s inspired restaurant. Located on 10 Bond S. W., this diner is in prime location, only a one-minute walk from the bus terminal.
This affordable restaurant opened in 2006, and is run by a husband wife team. When speaking with Joy Jegatheeswaran, husband and partial owner of the company, he said the restaurant is very student orientated and has many specials available to students, seniors and any other customer.
With the proof of ID students can get a five-dollar meal consisting of their choice of main course (hamburger, chicken burger, grilled cheese or poutine), fries and a drink. If they want something different students and seniors can order anything on the menu and receive a ten percent discount. And any customer that walks through the door is allowed to join the VIP program found on the restaurants website which, allows them to receive a 20 percent discount on anything on the menu.
Jegatheeswaran says, the restaurant is also known for their amazing Philly sandwiches. With flexible hours this gives everyone plenty of opportunity to dine in at the Diamonds Grill.
